Off the south shore of Long Island, 49 nautical miles east of NYC, the Fire Island Lighthouse was often the first sight of America for thousands of immigrants of the early 20th century. The current tower was lit in 1858 replacing the original smaller tower built in 1826.

The original artwork is drawn on high quality Aquarelle Arches watercolor paper and colored with professional quality soft colored pencils. 
Prints are made with professional aqueous pigment ink on Epson Hot Pressed | Smooth Matte | Acid-Free | 330 gsm | 17 mil | Bright White | 100% Cotton fine art paper. 
All prints are trimmed, wrapped with acid-free polypropylene bags and shipped in kraft Stay-Flat cardboard mailers with a hardboard backer.
Each print comes numbered and signed by the artist.
